Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Manual Test Engineer with strong expertise in medical device testing. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience working with healthcare or medical device products and a solid understanding of testing methodologies, documentation, and compliance expectations in regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing for medical device software and/or hardware‑integrated healthcare products.
- Review requirements and create detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data aligned with product specifications.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing with high attention to detail.
- Ensure strict adherence to Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) standards and quality processes.
- Document test results, defects, and traceability in accordance with medical/healthcare documentation norms.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including developers, product owners, and domain specialists to ensure product quality.
- Think from a customer and patient‑safety perspective while validating product functionality and usability.
- Participate in test planning, risk assessment, and release readiness activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of total professional experience in software testing.
- Strong hands‑on experience in manual testing for medical devices or any regulated healthcare product.
- Mandatory healthcare/medical domain experience.
- Excellent knowledge of manual testing techniques, STLC, defect life cycle, and documentation best practices.
- Ability to design effective test cases, test conditions, and validation procedures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross‑functional teams.
- Strong time‑management skills and the ability to manage testing cycles under deadlines.
- Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to think from end‑user expectations.
- Experience in compatibility testing
Education
- BE/B.Tech/MCA or an equivalent technical degree.
