Lead AI Competence Center

Location: Germany (Onsite/Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lead AI Competence Center to drive enterprise-wide AI transformation and establish AI as a core business capability. This role is responsible for defining AI strategy, leading AI platform development, enabling AI adoption across the organization, and ensuring governance, compliance, and measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the organization's AI strategy and transformation roadmap.
• Lead the implementation of AI-driven automation and intelligent workflows.
• Build, manage, and enhance enterprise AI platforms and reusable AI solutions.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems such as SAP, Microsoft, and analytics platforms.
• Establish AI governance, risk management, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead AI capability development through training, workshops, and organizational enablement.
• Identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact AI and automation initiatives.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with technology vendors and AI solution providers.
• Monitor AI adoption, productivity improvements, and overall business impact.
• Lead and develop cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Business functions.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree, MBA, Ph.D., or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience leading large-scale AI transformation programs.
• Strong expertise in AI platforms, automation, and enterprise AI solutions.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise platforms such as SAP and Microsoft.
• Strong understanding of AI governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., EU AI Act).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and executive stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Experience managing strategic technology partnerships.
• Knowledge of Build-Operate-Transfer delivery models.
• Experience working with hyperscalers, AI vendors, or startup ecosystems.
