Firmware Validation at Gdansk Poland

Validation engineers:

• 3+ years of experience with C#, Python

• Being familiar with low level transport protocols (SMBus, IC2, SPI, MCTP, RMII and Manageability protocols like NC-SI, RDE)

• Experience with low level debugging using equipment like Oscilloscope, protocol sniffers (E.g. Aaadvark, Beagle etc.)

• Completing a series of technical trainings on DCG Ethernet FW functionalities.

• Performing execution of manual and automated tests of Ethernet FW functionalities based on agreement with Intel managers (Contact Points).

• Developing new tests and maintaining existing test solutions after agreement with Intel Product Owner (mainly in C# language).

• Running release test cycles according to schedule provided by INTEL (for example regression tests cycles)

• Performing debug and modifications of the test cases if needed. Making them work in the pre-silicon and post-silicon test environments.

• Filing defects against tested components and taking active role in managing the defects’ life cycle according to defined processes.

• Documenting activities and reporting to INTEL managers (Contact Points).

• Preparing weekly reports of the validation progress.

• Assure Test Environment readiness by having platforms up and running, available for performing engineering tasks (including Lab test setups maintenance and improvements).
