System Architect (m/f/d) Friedrichshafen, Germany (Hybrid)

Your Role

As a System Architect, you will design and lead the development of complex system architectures for electronic and mechatronic systems using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and define end-to-end system architectures (HW/SW) using MBSE
• Model functions, components, and interfaces (SysML, UML, Arcadia, etc.)
• Define system context and interfaces ensuring scalability and maintainability
• Manage the link between requirements and system models
• Lead architecture decisions, reviews, and assessments
• Collaborate with hardware, software, V&V, safety, security, and project teams
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO 15288, etc.)
• Support development of architecture processes, guidelines, and best practices

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or related technical field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering / Architecture
• Strong experience with MBSE tools (e.g., Capella, Cameo Systems Modeler, Enterprise Architect, Matlab, PreeVision)
• Solid knowledge of system architecture development & interface definition
• Familiarity with industry standards (ASPICE, ISO 15288, ARP4754, ISO 26262)
• Fluent German (C1) and English (B2)
• Strong analytical thinking and structured working style
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

• Experience in regulated industries (Automotive, Aviation, Rail)
• Leadership or coordination experience in architecture projects/teams
• Knowledge of Safety & Security engineering
• Experience with architecture documentation and model validation
