Senior IT System Administrator (m/f/d) ,Dresden, Germany (Hybrid)

Essential Skills:

• 6+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Administration
• Strong Linux administration skills (Ubuntu, Debian, or similar)
• Experience with Windows Server and macOS environments
• Strong networking knowledge (VLANs, Routing, Firewalls, VPNs)
• Experience with virtualization technologies (Proxmox, KVM, Clustering)
• Automation experience using Ansible
• Scripting skills in Python and Bash
• Knowledge of IT Security, SIEM, and EDR solutions
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Fluent German and English communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain on-premise IT infrastructure and virtual environments
• Administer Linux, Windows, and macOS systems
• Manage network infrastructure including VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and routing
• Monitor and improve system performance, security, and availability
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Ansible, Python, and Bash
• Manage security tools, incident detection, and response activities
• Maintain monitoring and logging platforms
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and directory services
• Provide 1st and 2nd level IT support to internal users
• Manage hardware lifecycle, software deployments, and system upgrades
• Lead infrastructure projects, migrations, and system improvements
• Create and maintain technical documentation

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in IT System Administration
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux environments
• Experience managing complex IT infrastructures independently
• Structured and solution-oriented working style
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent German and English language skills
