Backend engineer , Germany

Essential Skills:

• 5–7 years of experience in IT with a focus on cloud technologies
• Strong knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN), routing, firewalls, and physical networks
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform
• Strong Linux administration and networking experience
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container technologies
• Knowledge of network protocols such as BGP, DNS, SSH, and HTTP/HTTPS
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent English communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• OpenStack experience
• Programming experience in open-source projects
• DevSecOps knowledge
• Security and privacy awareness

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions
• Manage and optimize Linux-based cloud environments
• Configure and maintain software-defined networks, routing, and firewall solutions
• Automate infrastructure deployment and management using Ansible and Terraform
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver cloud solutions
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and networking issues
• Support continuous improvement of cloud platforms and automation processes
• Ensure compliance with security and data protection requirements

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• 5–7 years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure and Linux administration
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work within the European Union
