Key Responsibilities:
- Budget Planning and Enterprise Solutions:
- Assist the team in budget planning.
- Design enterprise solutions in the network field.
- Develop and implement network concepts.
- Support and Communication:
- Provide 2nd & 3rd level support.
- Communicate with local contacts worldwide.
- Strategy Development:
- Conceptualize and aid in developing a group-wide network strategy aligned with OneIT's goals.
- Contribute to overarching strategic development.
- Project and Change Management:
- Independently manage network infrastructure projects, including cost, quality, and time management.
- Handle sub-project management and consultancy tasks.
- Ensure compliance with service management tool and change management board requirements.
- Operations and Service:
- Operate, maintain, and administer the global network system landscape.
- Troubleshoot at the 2nd & 3rd levels.
- Implement, commission, and maintain network solutions.
- Configure complex infrastructures.
- Offer technical advice to specialist departments.
- Choose products and service providers in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
- Manage external service providers for service and escalation.
- Evaluate and optimize savings opportunities in the area of responsibility.
- Assist with maintenance and provide 2nd/3rd level support.
- Coordinate with third-party manufacturers in problem analysis and escalation management.
- Independently plan, execute, and monitor system updates.
- Be responsible for creating and updating comprehensive documentation, instructions, and operating manuals.
- Evaluate new technologies.
- Further develop existing standard hardware and software products.
- Ensure the sustainable operation of the group-wide network infrastructure.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a related field.
- Strong communication skills in both German and English.
- Knowledge of firewalls and Network as a Service.
- Technical engineering skills, including:
- Analysis and implementation of user requirements.
- Switching/routing (OSPF, LWL, WAN, LAN, WLAN), DMZ services.
- Monitoring tools (PRTG), networking (IPv4, IPv6, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
- Specific manufacturer knowledge (Fortinet, Extreme Networks, Cisco).
- Project management abilities.
